Cranberry Old Fashioned

Jingle All The Way ( AKA Christmas Old Fashioned)

What a FUN and festive cocktail! So I had a little fun ( sarcasm) trying to figure out how all the craft cocktail mixologists get their lemons so pretty. I spent an entire morning soaking lemon slices in bourbon and trying to light them on fire. Nope. Then I put sugar all over the lemon slices and tried to torch them with a lighter. Nope. What finally worked was putting sugar all over the lemon slices, then placing them under the broiler in my air fryer. SCORE!!! It worked. After I successfully got a few lemon slices for garnish I put them in the fridge for later when I made this drink. My son told me I could have accomplished the lemon garnish with a chef’s torch, so I will be asking Santa for one!

You will need:

2 1/4 ounces bourbon

1 1/2 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice

1/2 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed

1 oz Simple syrup

Fresh rosemary and/or cranberry’s and/or lemon for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Pour the bourbon, cranberry juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup into the cocktail shaker.

Place the lid onto the cocktail shaker, and shake vigorously.

Place large ice cube in an old fashioned glass.

Pour the drink over the ice cube.

Garnish with any or all lemon, cranberry’s, rosemary

Cheers Y’all!!
