Ciao Tuscany 🇮🇹

You plan for months……packing, prepping, counting down the days. Every detail is thought through, every outfit imagined, every experience  carefully written into your schedule. And then, finally, you land in Italy.

The journey itself is a blur of long flights, questionable airplane/airport food, and little to no sleep. You step off the plane slightly disoriented, running on adrenaline and anticipation. All you can think about is a shower and a moment to reset.

But the moment you check into your hotel, something shifts. The fatigue is still there, sure, but it no longer matters. Your suitcase sits half-unpacked as you drift toward the window or balcony, drawn to the view like it’s calling your name.

And there it is.

Exactly what you imagined; rolling hills, sun-warmed rooftops, narrow streets humming, church bells ringing …. It feels familiar, almost surreal, like stepping into a memory you haven’t actually lived yet. OR maybe  you have and just need more and more.

Suddenly, the exhaustion fades into the background. Your senses take over. The golden light hits differently here. The air feels softer. Even the quiet has a texture to it.

Hunger creeps in, not just for food, but for the experience itself. You freshen up just enough and head back out, guided less by a plan and more by instinct. A restaurant catches your eye. Nothing flashy, just a few tables, a handwritten menu, and locals lingering over their meals. That’s how you know it’s the right place.

You sit down, order a glass of wine—your first real sip of Italy—and pause. This is the moment. The one you pictured during all those months of waiting.

The first bite of food is simple, but unforgettable. Fresh ingredients, flavors that don’t try too hard, everything exactly as it should be. Time slows. Conversations drift around you in a language that feels like music.

And just like that, you’ve arrived. Not just physically, but fully.

The planning, the travel, the exhaustion—it all melts into something else entirely. Something richer. Something that reminds you why you wanted to come in the first place.

Because in Italy, it’s never just about the destination. It’s about how quickly it makes you feel alive.

Day one was nothing short of exceptional…. Here’s to the beginning of days and days of paradise!
