Not only are my sons wonderful in every way, but they also know their way around the kitchen. Tyler has mastered a Brussels sprout recipe so good, it can win over even the biggest skeptics. Here he is with my almost 3 year old grandson!
You will need:
2 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
⅓ cup chopped onion
4 whole garlic cloves
4 cups Brussels sprouts, quartered
Salt and pepper, to taste
In a large skillet, cook the bacon until it’s nearly crisp.
Stir in the onions and sauté until softened.
Add the garlic cloves and continue cooking until everything turns golden and fragrant, almost caramelized.
Drizzle in the olive oil, then add the Brussels sprouts. Season generously with salt and pepper.
Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are tender but still have some firmness. You dont want these mushy!
