Sedona Arizona

Sedona is an Arizona desert town near Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community. Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots.

I found the hiking there to be a bit easier than other state parks we have been too, and I was lucky because my left knee was starting to fail. We stayed at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock, and had beautiful views of the red rocks. The hotel has a spa which is perfect for some pampering after hiking all day. I loved the Tex Mex restaurants in town and had some delicious craft cocktails!

We flew into Phoenix and actually went to the Grand Canyon as well. At the end of the trip we enjoyed Scottsdale.
